Sensors like the suspended pressure transmitter VEGAWELL 52 are deployed in raw water extraction from wells and rivers or in seawater desalination plants. Thanks to the ceramic CERTEC® measuring cell, integrated overvoltage protection and optional temperature measurement, it delivers reliable measurement data even under extreme conditions.

Highly efficient radar sensors are increasingly becoming the norm in level measurement. Models such as VEGAPULS 10, 20 and 30 impress users with their non-contact 80-GHz technology, precise signal focusing and high resistance to environmental factors. They deliver precise measuring results even in harsh weather (rain, wind or fog) or dirty conditions and can be integrated directly into control systems like VEGAMET – ideal for level monitoring in river bank filtration for drinking water production.

Chemical tanks for chlorine or precipitants such as iron sulphate also require reliable level measurement. This is where VEGAPULS 31, with its high chemical resistance and IP68 protection, offers an ideal solution. 
 
Unlike ultrasonic sensors, compact VEGAPULS C 21 radar sensors measure all the way to the top of chemical tanks, thus utilising the entire tank volume.

Especially practical: The sensors also measure right through plastic or rubber containers, making them ideal for IBC containers, for example. And with VEGAPULS Air sensors, even IoT-based, cloud-enabled solutions are possible – for autonomous and location-independent level measurement and optimised supply chains.
Compact radar sensors from the VEGAPULS C series also play a central role in the mechanical pre-cleaning of water. In wastewater treatment plants, these sensors reliably monitor the water level upstream and downstream of screens that filter out solids, in order to determine their contamination level and initiate cleaning in good time. Their robust and maintenance-free design enables precise, efficient control of the rakes, which prevents downtime and reduces operating costs. VEGA also offers intuitive controllers from the 14x, 34x or 8xx series, which are easy to operate and require no previous programming knowledge.

Pressure measuring instruments like the VEGABAR series ensure safety and efficiency in every phase of a process. No matter what the process happens to be – filtration through sand, pumping or monitoring pipelines – sensors like VEGABAR 38, that continuously monitor the pressure conditions in pipe networks, detect leaks at an early stage and thus prevent shutdowns. Level switches like VEGAPOINT 21 provide additional protection by preventing dry run and ensuring system availability.
The pressure transmitter VEGABAR 82 with ceramic CERTEC® measuring cell, in particular, offers double security thanks to its gas-tight “Second Line of Defense”, for example in media containing ozone.

Even after treatment, exact measurement remains crucial: for example, for storage in underground basins, where VEGAPULS C sensors with food approvals and Bluetooth functionality enable simple, hygienic level control.
